animals are limited.
Our Mission
Help stray animals in need by providing essential support, including nutritious food, medical care, and spaying/neutering services. We also offer safe shelters to protect them and ensure they grow up away from the streets. In addition, we engage in community outreach to raise awareness and educate people about the importance of responsible animal care, helping to create a supportive environment for these animals.
Our Activities
Feeding with proper food
Ensure proper food to prevent hunger and malnutrition in stray animals.
TNR and Medical Care
Conduct TNR, tagging, and vaccinations to improve health.
Building Shelters
Provide safe shelters for puppies and kittens to grow off the streets.
Raising Awareness
Educate locals on the need to care for both owned and stray animals.

Today we sent 3 female dogs and 2 male cats from the Petra area to the veterinary clinic in Aqaba for spaying and castration. They'll be staying for 2 nights to make sure they'll be on a right track for recovery.
The total cost for these operations will be around 320 JOD or €409 and the transportation cost is 120jod / €154 for drop-off today and pick-up 2 days later.
That's a total of at least €563 for 5 loveable animals! 😖😖😖
How much does it cost to castrate or spay a dog/cat in your country? Here in the Netherlands it costs about €400-€700 for a female dog and €165 for a female cat in the Amsterdam area...

Rabies is still around in Jordan. If humans get bitten by dogs or cats in Jordan, you have to go through a series of 5 to 6 rabies vaccination shots. In 2024, we've been told by the locals that around 5 dogs have been put to sleep due to abnormally violent behaviours in both humane and inhumane ways around Petra....
Giving rabies vaccinations to dogs in and around Petra is one of our activities. On 20th August, we gave shots to 7 dogs. Now they are safe for at least 1 year... 😘😘😘

Another round of feeding dogs and cats inside Petra, on its way to the Monastery on 31st August 2024. Today was another quiet day with virtually no tourists. No tourists and no local Bedouins working inside Petra mean no food for these homeless dogs and cats... 😭😭😭
